We are very pleased to announce the hosting of our
BizTech Information Technology Conference October 18th to 20th 2017 under the theme
“A World of Digital Opportunities” being hosted at the Jamaica Conference Centre, 14-20 Port Royal St, Kingston Jamaica.
Last year JCS Knowledge Forum attracted over 400 participant with representation from major banks, distribution, retail, manufacturing, technology and service companies, government institutions and universities with CEOs, CIOs, Security, Marketing, IT Managers, Leaders and other IT / non IT professionals. This year we expect over 500 participants from the region.
We are partnering with Jamaica Information Technology and Services Alliance (JITSA), EGov Jamaica Ltd, University of Technology and The University if the West Indies to host the event. Proceeds of the event will be used towards buying computers for the universities, renovating the JCS secretariat building and funding the annual Programme of JITSA and JCS which includes supporting JCS associations in high schools and universities.
This year we have been very active having hosted three relevant seminars such as “The Future of IT Job” and “Artificial Intelligence Demystified”, sponsored “Girls in ICT Day” and hosting this summer’s Palisadoes Foundation “Calico Summer of Coding” where we have students working with mentors from Silicon Valley on local IT projects. We are working with the most honourable Dr.Andrew Wheatley’s Ministry to focus on citizen engagement and in collaboration with the Business Process Industry Association of Jamaica (BPIAJ) to create high value IT jobs in Jamaica by researching and strategizing on opportunities in the digital service industry.
